In bleak contrast to Fish in a Pond’s lead single,Tiberius’s “Chanterelle” follows a media consumed insomniac living in the filth of their own neglect. As they fixate on the eyes of peers looking back at them, a fear of failure, and a frothing cynicism overtake a once passionate love for creating, like a fungus growing on the walls of a ragged apartment. Beginning in a brooding atmospheric lush, Tiberius soon spirals into paranoid mania, before trudging towards a post-hardcore inspired release.
